Horrible Movies..

Published by dynamite at 8:39 pm under Film, Internet, Media, Movies, TV, Uncategorized Edit This

Here is just a quick list of some of tha box offices biggest failures. These movies are widely considered worst of all time by very many. Enjoy..

Lets start with; Battlefield Earth from 2000. This movie had a budget of $73 million, and US Box Office $21 million. This is a movie where John Travolta tried to get L. Ron Hubbard’s thoughts in movies and on tha big screen, but he failed. There is a mix of bad acting, bad direction, and bad storytelling. This was tha worst reviewed film on tha year 2000. Won seven Razzies, which is only matched by ‘Showgirls.’ Wow..

Ok second on to “Heaven’s Gate” from 1980. Budget of $40 million and US Box Office of #3.5 million, thats a flop, actually worse that a flop thats a damn disaster. This movie acutally destroyed tha career of director Michael, Cimino and United Artist studio went out of business thanks to it. That makes a bad movie look great! So if your movie does bad, just remember this one..

Next lets talk about “The Adventures Of Pluto Nash” from 2002. Budge of $100 million and US Box Office of $4.4 million, one of tha worst of all time. A funny fact is that Eddie Murphy was so embarrassed after it all ended that he would not do any publicity for tha movie. Thats sad..

Now “Cleopatra” from 1963. Budget of $44 million and US Box Office $26 million. Seemed like a good amount, but then you see tha total cost. It was said that at tha start this movie would cost around $2 million, but production delays and issues, ailing actresses, and tha expensive sets pushed it way way over. This is one of tha most expensive movies ever, and tha price was so damn high that tha production almost put 20th Century Fox out of business. Only if it would have cost tha small $2 million then it would be a huge profit.

Next is “Howard The Duck” from 1986. With a budget of $38 million and US Box Office of $16 million. This is an odd story of a duck from Cleveland. Production from George Lucas. Tha duck suit was $2 million!! And tha special effects where insane! When it came out it was quickly called one of tha worst films ever. Seems like a very bad movie huh?

This next movie I acutally watched not to long ago; “The Postman” from 1997. Budget of $80 million and US Box Office of $17.6 million. This comes just after ‘Waterworld.’ Some of tha crew calls Postman “Dirtworld.” This movie flopped at tha box office and was destroyed by critics. It didn’t seem that bad when I saw it. Not tha best, but didn’t seem like one of tha worst ever. This movie ruined Costner’s career as a director..

This next one is kinda funny. “Zyzzyx Rd.” from 2005. Budget of $2 million and US Box Office of $30. Ok so if you didn’t catch that please read tha Box Office again, thirty dollars. WTF?? For real? Yep, this movie is in tha Guinness Book of Records for being tha lowest grossing film of all time! This is an indie film, but that is not an excuse. Director John Penney held out for a DVD deal and screened tha flick in a Texas thearther for one week, yea one week. In that week it got $30, that is very sad. He should not have done that and maybe it could have made a little more. One more thing, John Penney had to return 1/3 of tha gross, $30, because 2 of tha paying movie watchers were also crew members. So that is for sure one of tha worst I’ve ever heard of, just horrible overall.

For now there ya go, theres a quick list of very bad movies that flopped. More lists like this to come..
